Kelly Clarkson is an American singer and songwriter who was the country's love interest after winning the American Idol title in the premiere season. Not only was she pushed into stardom by her win however, she also signed an agreement to record multiple albums with RCA Records 19 Recordings & S Records. Since then, she's made many studio albums. Three of them have made it to the US Billboard 200 charts while other albums were just a hair way away. She's among the most popular performers to emerge from American Idol. She experimented as she gained popularity with diverse musical and theme style, and often wrote the songs herself. She earned critical acclaim and numerous high-profile awards for her uniqueness and vocal talent. The most notable accomplishment was that she received the Grammy Award three times. She also has been featured in television and films. She is also the author of the book for children River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and been involved in numerous charities.
